Somewhere beyond this time and place. Olives pickling from the bedroom floor. Wish I could share the coincidence, but I feel no place to reconnect. The floor is now wooden, and I'm sitting in a new room. But in the same dwelling. Everyone knows where I am, having been itinerant for the best part of six years. I lost many friends for being open, and lost many friends for slacking off. There's new lives that have entered the world and I see never the opportunity to meet. There are blood bonds, mate bonds, love bonds, all washed away on the fiery wisps of the passage of time. Walking a lone path takes no prisoners. Suspicion arises and I never have the chance to explain. So why try, to enliven an attempt to befriend, only to be refused at the quickest shortfall. For all the times that we shared, remember me then. I can't fit your mould, yet cannot deny your accuracy. Speak ill of me if it so fits your rhyme. Lose my name and forget my gestures if it best aligns with your intention. The will of loneliness is being alone. Forgive my absent-mindedness. Forgive my misunderstanding. Forgive my carelessness.
